Due to the surging positive COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations, Linn County has closed most County buildings to the public once again to help reduce community spread of the virus. The closure will remain in effect until public health conditions improve and allow for modifications.
Staff continue to work on-site and remotely to provide services to the public. Services can be conducted online or remotely through email, mail, drop box, or by phone.
We appreciate the public's understanding of the need to conduct business in new ways during this global pandemic.
The Linn County Assessor’s Office assesses real property in Linn County, Iowa with the exception of property in Cedar Rapids. The effective date of assessment is January 1 of each year.
